CATHE
WALLER
Born
in Metz in 1954, Cathe's family background is eclectic and artistic.
Her sister is a musician and her brother a designer of toys. In 1977 she
graduated from Les Arts Decoratifs in Stasbourg, where she majored in
illustration. She begain her career by illustrating two children's
books, "Marie des ville et Marie des champs" and "Le Secret
de la Source." She first exhibited her work at Galerie Naifs et
Primitifs in 1977. She has had numerous one-woman shows and has
participated in many group exhibitions. Her work was shown at the Basel
Art Fair, Washington Fair, and in Geneva, New York and many towns in
France.
Cathe's paintings reflect the
tranquility and simplicity of her birthplace; her landscapes embody the
beauty of the changing seasons and the joy they inspire.
