Monique Valdeneige was born in Paris in
1944. She studied at the "Arts Appliqués" university and immediately began work
in an advertising company. After several years, she left this job to become a professional
painter. Monique paints her childhood souvenirs and memories: large comfortable kitchens,
soft bedrooms and above all her garden in full flower. She has exhibited her work since
1978 in Galerie Naifs et Primitifs in Paris and New York City, as well as Washington DC,
Chicago, Basel and many towns in France.
