MARTA GASPAR

Marta Gaspar was born in Argentina. She began painting while very young. Her work has been exhibited in many museums in her country, including The Beaux-Arts Museaum of Buenos Aires and the Castagnino Museum of Rosario. Her work sold to the Modern Art Museum in Buenos Aires for twice the price of a painting by Georges Braque.

Since 1976, Marta has lived in France and Spain as well as Argentina. Her favorite themes for her work are the luxuriant jungles of her native country, its flowers and portraits of women. Her work has been widely exhibited; in the Gallery Naifs et Primtifs in both Paris and New York, Genoa in Italy, at the International Fair in Basel, Germany, as well as in Bordeaux, and many galleries in Argentina.
