ADELUS
Jean-Pierre
Adelus was born in 1925 to a family of sailors, and spent a great deal of
his childhood and adolescence in North Africa. After studying science, he
then began work in a shipyard, building boats. Thereafter, he created a
tanning-parlor business in Casablanca.
He later moved back to
France and settled in Brittany where he could be close to the sea. His
love of the sea has caused him to cross the Atlantic Ocean several times
and he enjoys to travel. His paintings have been exhibited at the Galerie
Naifs et Primtifs since 1992.
